What is your motivation to continue your ministry through music?
Obedient to the call.
What's your favorite LR song? I Want the World to See.
What makes it so special?: Two important things are mentioned in this song.
First, time is stolen from us and it seems like we're late all the time.
Second, the impact of your mother when she prays for her child.
If you could describe the members of LR in one word, what would it be?:
Kevin - strong and meek like a horse that pulls a chariot into battle.
Larry - gentle, a tower of compassion and comfort.
Gary - bass man, holds up the bottom end.
Scott - sometimes your path will cross with someone and it impact you for the rest of your life.
Todd - new guy, has a heart for the music.
Ric - the rock, smoooothe and steady.
Phil - the guy that plugs it all in.
What was your defining moment when you received Christ in your life?:
When the fear was removed.

What is your motivation to continue your ministry through music?
Being able to share God with as many people as possible is our ministry.
My personal motivation is when I am playing on stage and I see someone's
face who is being blessed or moved by the music and lyrics the band is playing and singing.
What's your favorite LR song? The Price You Paid For Me
What makes it so special?:
What can you say about the price Jesus paid for us. No one deserves it,
but he died for me and he died for you. It is one of the first songs God laid on my heart to write.
It really signifies my personal ministry along with who I am as a person.
If you could describe the members of LR in one word, what would it be?:
Todd - 'Big Head Todd'. (Sorry Todd, I just could not resist!)
Willing - he is always ready to minister regardless if it is to kids, teens, or adults.
Gary - humble and gullible. Gary is very easy to pick on!
Larry - patient. Because I like to play the songs over and over in practice and he doesn't mind.
Ric - quiet. Until he gets on them drum yeah baby!
Steve - do-er. Always looking for a place to play and minister.
When he says he is going to do something, he does it.
Even when he making me shiny diamond plate boxes for my equipment.
Kevin - big. Big heart, big voice, and big motorcycle.
Phil - perfect. He makes all the music sound perfect.
What was your defining moment when you received Christ in your life?:
I was saved when I was in the seventh grade, but my defining moment was in 1991.
I was helping my mom with her ministry at a shoot in Washington DC when I got sick.
No one knew what was wrong and I was rushed to the hospital.
When we got there, they ran test but the pain would not go away.
My mom took my hand and began praying for me.
The pain went away immediately and God revealed to me his plan for my life.
Acknowledgements:
First of all, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me the talents to use for his glory.
My wife, for putting up with two 15 inch full range cabinets in our bedroom and for
her support in my ministry. For my kids, for their understanding when I have to leave football or
cheerleading practices early in order to go to band practice.
To my parents, for raising me in Christian home.
For the support and prayers of Mission Baptist Church.
I especially appreciate the support of Pastor Ronny, assistant Pastor Darrell and
Music Ministers Koni & Kolis.
AND EACH MEMBER OF LATTER RAIN.

First and always, I thank God. To my wife, Andrea, and our children for dealing with being gone so much. To my brothers in Latter Rain: you're each a blessing to me! To my family "The Burris Clan"… Thanks to Mom and Dad for raising me in Church. To my sisters for making me sing all those times I said NO and my brother for always being there. Without family giving me the love of music, I would not do what I do. To my Church, Mission Baptist, thanks for all the prayers and support.
